Get Involved

In order to accurately represent the views of people who use maternity services across Grampian, we need to know what these views are. Your ideas and opinions matter.

We have a two local MVP groups, Aberdeen & Shire and Moray & Banff, who listen to and represent local service users and are always looking for new members to join and help make change happen together.

These local MVP groups are made up of service user representatives, NHS Grampian staff, community organisations and charities. The Aberdeen & Shire group meets bi-monthly and the Moray & Banff group meets quarterly. In addition, the MVP plans to hold face to face feedback forums in various locations throughout 2024. Keep an eye on the Grampian MVP Facebook page for future feedback forum and meeting dates.

How do I become a member?

Whether you have had a baby recently or your partner has or if you are simply passionate about being involved in improving maternity services, we are always happy to welcome new members. Being a lay member is a voluntary position so you can choose what time you are able to give to the group and fit it around your family/work life. If you haver any questions or would like to find out more information on joining the group please email chair.grampianmvp@gmail.com. This email is picked up by Kat, the GMVP chair, who is a lay member (not NHS staff). You can also contact the local group chairs directly:
